Daysh Demonia is a Dallas-born songwriter, producer, and artist with more than three decades of musical experience. Born July 9, 1990, and raised in the Oak Cliff neighborhood, he attended the legendary Carter High School before graduating from Red Oak High School. At 36, he continues to build on a foundation that stretches back to childhood. Music ran deep in his family. His father played multiple instruments, and his uncles and great-grandfather performed in bands across Central Texas. During the era of segregation and in the years that followed—when rural Texas venues were still often unwelcoming to Black musicians—his great-grandfather led a Black band that earned the respect to play in white-only clubs purely on the strength of their talent and musicianship. That legacy shaped Daysh early. By age four he already wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps. He began writing poems at five, recorded his first demo with a cousin at nine, and started making beats at fourteen, drawing directly from the musical environment he grew up in. He sharpened his production skills through his teens. By sixteen, in 2006, he released the album Don Of The D. He followed it with the mixtape Tussle With You Texas Volume Two, hosted by Tum Tum of DSR (Dirty South Rydaz), the Dallas collective that included Big Tuck and Fat Bastard and helped put the city’s sound on the map in the mid-to-late 2000s. DJ Sir Scratch of the Real DJs handled the project, and Daysh produced roughly 40 percent of the beats. After high school he largely stepped away from rapping to focus fully on production. Between 2010 and 2015 he secured placements and production work with a range of artists, including Yella Beezy (the Dallas/Oak Cliff rapper best known for the 2017 Billboard Hot 100 single “That’s On Me”; Daysh created the beat for “Rocky” in 2009), C. Struggs (the late Oak Cliff reality rapper known for raw street narratives and a collaboration with Rick Ross on “Do It”), and Donk of Badazz Entertainment (Boosie Badazz’s blood cousin). Additional credits and placements include work connected to Shawty Redd, Crunchy Black of Three 6 Mafia, Trick Daddy, Cash Out, Gemini Salter of Roc Nation, and others. Around 2015 he pulled back from actively pushing production, creating mainly for friends. By 2022 he stepped away from music almost entirely, taking a four-year hiatus. Curiosity about AI music tools in May 2026 brought him back. He returned with renewed focus, writing every lyric himself and producing approximately 70 percent of the beats on the material he releases. That return also led to the creation of Tha Have-Notz (also known as HNZ Gang). The project centers on Daysh Demonia alongside a roster of AI-generated personas he developed and fully writes and produces for: HNZ Tank, Abby Slash, Chaneli, Smoke Dean, and Quilah B. The group blends horrorcore and trap influences with the Southern roots that have always informed his work. His musical influences range from Three 6 Mafia, DSR, Young Nino, HotBoy Star, Ice Cube, and Ganksta Nip to Prince, Nirvana, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, and Kiss. Upcoming releases include the album Welcome to the Stash Spot (credited to Tha Have-Notz and featuring the original pairing of Daysh Demonia and Abby Slash), set for October 31, 2026. A full-group compilation, Camp Life, is planned for the end of 2026, followed by Daysh’s solo album Gothik Gangsta in 2027. Daysh Demonia and Tha Have-Notz music is available on all major digital service providers under both names.
