HimeZilla

Yakitori

90-second preview

"Himezilla" drops a grimy 90s boom-bap beat into Tokyo and lets a forty-story idol-princess kaiju loose on it. Vinyl crackle and scratching turntables collide with taiko hits, shakuhachi stabs, and shamisen riffs, while a weary, deadpan rapper narrates the day's disaster: the sun blotted out, trains stopped, a convenience store casually stepped on because Her Highness needed a drink. The joke lands in the contrast. A cute solo voice keeps insisting things could be worse, while an aggressively cheerful girl-group chorus treats the destruction like a pop idol's press tour, cheering her on as her to-do list somehow keeps growing instead of shrinking. What starts as a citywide emergency turns into bureaucratic dread — bridges closed, appointments rescheduled, a missing government stamp threatening total gridlock — delivered with exhausted comedic resignation, the narrator's protests steamrolled every time by sugary group vocals insisting everything is fine. By the outro, just as escape seems possible, the joke resets: she's off to the post office, and the chaos begins again.
